Why you may not have been able to add a custom token address.

Updated over a week ago

Here are the most common reasons why you may not have been able to add a custom token address:

  • The address is missing digits. Be sure to double-check that the complete token address was entered. You can do this on various platforms including Etherscan, BSCscan, PolygonScan and CoinGecko.

  • The address is not an actual token smart contract. For example, the addresses of a wallet, a dApp, or non-fungible token (NFT) will not load properly.

  • The address is from an unsupported blockchain. Matcha currently supports:

    • Ethereum

    • Binance Smart Chain

    • Polygon

    • Avalanche

    • Optimism

    • Arbitrum

  • The token is not supported due to legal restrictions.

If none of the reasons above apply and you're still having an issue adding a custom token, please reach out to our support team via the chat widget.
