General Questions

What are Cross Chain Swaps?

  • Cross Chain Swaps is a feature developed by Matcha that allows users to swap tokens across multiple blockchains without leaving Matcha or having to visit a separate bridging site.

Does Matcha own the bridge that allows Cross Chain Swaps to happen?

  • Matcha integrates Socket.tech’s technology to facilitate swaps across multiple blockchains by utilizing various bridges.

What chains are supported for Cross Chain Swaps?

  • Ethereum

  • Arbitrum

  • Optimism

  • Base

  • BSC

  • Avalanche

  • Polygon

  • Mode

  • Linea

  • Scroll

  • Blast

  • Mantle

  • Solana

Do you support CrossChain swaps from EVM to Solana (and vice-versa)?

  • Yes! You can swap Solana tokens to EVM and vice-versa (but not necessarily all tokens).

Why can’t I trade XYZ token with Cross Chain Swaps?

  • Not all tokens & chains are supported on Cross Chain Swap, unfortunately. However, the list of tokens (and chains) could expand in the future

Why can’t I input how much I want to buy of the bridged token?

  • The Buy token amount can not be entered because the flow of the entire trade is not fully controlled by Matcha/0x. Socket manages part of the flow, so we can only allow users to input their Sell amount.

Why aren’t Fantom and Celo chains available for Cross Chain Swaps?

  • To maintain a frictionless trading experience with Cross Chain Swaps, we saw that there was insufficient bridge liquidity on Fantom and Celo and decided not to include them in our service.

Why is my transaction taking so long to complete?

  • Because Cross chain swaps involve transferring tokens from one blockchain to another, this process can sometimes take a long time due to various factors including blockchain congestion, gas prices and estimates, and available liquidity for the trading pair.

  • We recommend clicking on the link to Socketscan in the Trade Details to see the progress and specifics of the trade.

What are the fees associated with making a Cross Chain Swap?

  • Currently, users will only pay the blockchain network fee of the “Sell” token when making a Cross Chain swap.
