How to make a Cross Chain Swap

A guide to trading tokens across multiple chains in a single transaction.

Matcha users can now place market orders across multiple chains through our Cross Chain Swaps feature. Here's how you can take advantage of this functionality.


Placing a Cross Chain Swap

To make a Cross Chain Swap:

  1. Navigate to the Cross Chain tab in the Trade Module.

  2. Click on Select token and use the pop-up to select a token to sell (from multiple chains).

  3. Select a token to purchase in the To field.

  4. Enter an amount that you want to trade.

  5. Review the quote provided and click Review Order.

    1. You might have to approve the token first if you have not approved it before for trading on Matcha.

  6. Select Place order and confirm the transaction through your connected wallet.

Verifying the Trade

Once the trade is initiated, you can verify the transaction through the details pop-up.

In the section labeled Block Explorer, you can click the link that will take you to the transaction details on Socketscan (Socketโ€™s blockchain explorer) which shows you the initiating transaction and the completion transaction.

You can click on each Source Tx Hash to see the details of the source transaction and destination transaction.


Cross Chain Swaps - Trade History

Your history of Cross Chain Swaps will also show in your trade history on Matcha. To see your Cross Chain Swaps Trade History:

  1. Connect your wallet to Matcha.

  2. Click on your connected wallet and click Trade History.

  3. Click on the Cross Chain history tab.
